Home Depot recently named Glenn Wooten of Ashburn, VA The Home Depot Hometown Hero (award details). This is a national award that was given to recognize his humanitarian efforts for aiding the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Last year, as a member of the Virginia faith based organization, Christ In Action, Glenn created the “Convoy of Compassion” to provide relief to those suffering through the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Following is an interview of why although living far away from Katrina's direct effects he decided to get involved and what still needs to be done.
